Lesson Learned

Today I was trying to organize the bedroom and Lexi didn't think that was such a great idea. To keep her occupied I  let her read her favorite book. I don't know what I was thinking when I gave a pop-up book to an 11 month old. ( oh yah, I remember: I'll just watch her really close and take it away before she does any damage) HA!

Damage Report
Cow: missing his left ear
Horse: missing both ears and torn from the book completely
Sheep: left ear is barely attached

I retrieved three ears and one horse head from Lexi's mouth. I am now sporting a permanant set of  teeth marks on my index finger ouch!

After Letting the pieces dry I  doctored up the animals, and walla!!  Now we have handicaped farm animals.

Oh man, I am so glad to hear that you and Lexi are both normal. I think that every mom has done that. Most of our books are missing parts and then they were also used as teethers. Awesome! She is growing up so fast. Isn't this stage the greatest???? UMMMMMMMM....It just keeps getting better!!! You are such a great mom!! Love ya

I had the same thing happen to one of my very favorite pop up books that was so cool. Elizabeth tore almost every page, and I had to put it back together, but it doesn't pop up very well now.... I was so sad. So now it is only out when I am with them.
I love all your pictures, Alexis is getting so big and almost walking.. they change so much when they get that boost of independence... it is so sad that they grow up so fast, but so fun to watch them learn new things.
She is so cute, and you are such a great mom. You take her all over, and looks like you spoil her, (just a little bit right)
