Statue of Liberty 10/13/2011

 

We had a great day even though it was a little rainy.

Lexi was obsessed with this sign! 

Inside the statue. This is the original torch.

We thought it would be a good idea to climb the steps and not wait for the elevator.:( should have waited for the elevator

 Stairs leading all the way up to the torch.   We waited too long to get tickets and were not able to get to the top. Now the statue is closed for renovations and we will never get to go all the way to the torch:(
